Virtual Quilting Bees

In the span of about I week I joined 6 online quilting bees- all thru Flickr, from this thread.

Now, because I like to plan things way in advance (and I had a bit of mad money)  I pretty much know what I'm doing for each bee.  Ordered most of the fabric and patiently (or not-so-patiently) waiting for it to arrive.

I pulled all the fabric for the Christmas Bee from my stash, and the blocks have already started coming home!

Next up is The Hive - The ballet company I work for has an annual silent auction every year and I wanted to make a quilt for next year's event.  Scheduled for next year is Alice in Wonderland.  So when I stumbled on Alice in Wonderland fabric, I was totally stoked! 

Once it all arrives I'm planning a show and tell :)

Tough Night

tooth fairy sneaks into The Boy's room.

finds the tooth.

replaces tooth with coinage.

drops tooth in a pile of legos.

curses.

leaves the room to look for a flashlight.

curses.

finds the flashlight.

sneaks back into the room.

silently sifts through the legos.

repeatedly.

for a while.

finds the tooth.

breathes a sigh of relief.

sneaks out.

A Taste of Sunday

Miss Mae is eight today.  Yikes!

Anyway, she's having a ballerina birthday party on Sunday, and I'm making tutus.

 I'm never gonna get the glitter off my floor.

or out of my hair.
